TPS2042B: output cap of TPS2042B

Part Number: TPS2042B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2553

Hi Team,

I saw the 10uf/22uf +0.1uFof design example in datasheet, and I also saw the 150uF+0.1uF output cap in EVM design. i just confuse about how to decide output cap prefer?

since my customer was used 1uF+0.1uF on the output. does it make sense or not?

BR,

Mark Chen

  • Hi, Mark,

It's okay to use 1u+0.1uf. TI use 150uF+ 0.1uf in case of large load transient.
