[TPS53658] Does this device supported by command line tool FusionConfigWriter?

Hi Expert,

We would like to program the device TPS53658 using command line tool FusionConfigWriter but failed. Anyway, we have no problem to program the devices using GUI TI.

We're using the command line tool (FusionConfigWriter ) for others devices like TPS40425 & TPS53661 before. Somehow its not working for TPS53658. We would like to confirm if this devices is supported by the command line tool FusionConfigWritter or if there is others special command line tool for it?

What GUI version are you using? What is the command syntax? Can you give more detail on the failure?

Hi, i m using GUI 7.0.25

The command using is fusionconfigwriter.

It doesn't detect the device at all. However, it can be detect if turn on the GUI interface. There is no problem to program the device with GUI but i need the command line to incorporate the programming into my application.

How many devices you have on your system? What are they? What is the device address? What command syntax are you using, for example:
"FusionConfigWriter --address 92 --project --infile UCD9246_92.xml"

Hi,

There is total 4 devices in the system, 3 TPS53658 and 1 TPS53678.

The address are 82, 95, 101 and 109.

This is the command:

FusionConfigWriter --address 82 --scan-mode device_code --project --infile TPS_ADD82.xml

FusionConfigWriter --address 95 --scan-mode device_code --project --infile TPS_ADD95.xml

FusionConfigWriter --address 101 --scan-mode device_code --project --infile TPS_ADD101.xml

FusionConfigWriter --address 109 --scan-mode device_code --project --infile TPS_ADD109.xml

All 4 devices was un-detectable/un-programmable through the command syntax but able to program using GUI.

We're using the similar command syntax for TPS40425 & TPS53661 before without bounce into any error. Please advise if we have to select others syntax for TPS53658 and TPS53678?

TPS40425 & TPS53661 use DEVICE_CODE (0xFC) as scan mode where as TPS53658/53678 use IC_DEVICE_ID (0xAD) as scan mode => Replace the "device_code" with "ic_device_id" or "combo" (scan for all):

FusionConfigWriter --address 82 --scan-mode ic_device_id --project --infile TPS_ADD82.xml
