UC1843: Output frequency at 625KHz

Part Number: UC1843

Hello and thanks in advance,

I paste an image of a simple version of my schematic (the whole circuit is too complicated to be posted here).

Due to a mishandling the resistor Rx burned and increased its value to an almost open circuit. Consequently, the frequency of the output signal of the UC1843 climbed to 625KHz. I want to know if this frequency is dangerous to the functioning of UC1843 itself. Can this frequency harm internal UC1843 circuitry? Or can I just replace the Rx resistor and go like nothing happened because UC1843 is protected internally? What does the datasheet mean when it says that nominal frequency is between 100KHz and 500KHz?

The reliability of this component is essential to the project.

Thank you
