LP2985LV-N: Minimum load current for stable operation

the same customer has one last question:

how would the load transient response behave if the load varies 1 - 5mA @ Vout = 1.5V? The curve in the datasheet is for Vout = 3.3V. what he would like to be sure of is if the device will remain stable while the load is varying.

Hi Stani,

Could you confirm that your additional question is about LP2985LV-N? This family of devices does not have a 3.3 V output option.

If LP2985LV-N the datasheet shows the transient response for a 1.8 V output which will be similar to the 1.5 V option as the only difference between the 1.8 V and 1.5 V devices is the internal resistor divider; however, we recommend prototyping so that you can see how the output responds with your intended input and output capacitors. MULTIPKGLDOEVM-823 can be used for a first pass prototyping board.

you are correct, the additional question is about LP2985LV-N (LP2985AIM5-1.5). you are right this family does not offer the 3.3V. i think the 3.3V curve i say was in the LP2985 datasheet and not LP2985LV-N.

i will share the information you provided with my customer.
