TPS62085: Fsw shift in TPS62085

Part Number: TPS62085

Hi,

just want to check if several kHz changes at different load is normal or not. Datasheet curve shows Fsw is almost fixed when load changes above 1A but customer side find it changes several kHz.

based on DCS control topology, Ton= Vout*Ron*Con/(4*Vin) then Fsw should be fixed and only has relationship with Ron*Con, and no relationship with Vout or Vin.

Thanks.

  • Hi Givin,
it is normal to see it, this converter has a typical value of 2.4MHz. Moreover when you zoom in the the datasheet curve you could see variation of several kHz, although it is difficult due to the logarithmic scale. I don't find your equation in the DS, I won't be able to comment on the second point.

    thanks
