BQ24401: Ni-MH battery

Part Number: BQ24401

Hi,

    I have been looking for 1~4 AA size Ni-MH charging IC. I have chosen for BQ24401 for my appliication.

Max current capacity of the battery: 2500mAh

Max voltage of the battery: 4.8V( 4 batteries connected in series)

1. Is BQ24401 suitable  for above specification?

2.Can BQ24401 supports load and charging parallely?

If it doesn't support, Please recommend charging IC

    Please refer to the Fig .7 of the datasheet of BQ24401, you can design the charger to charge 4 batteries in series. However, the charger does not have power path supporting load and charging in parallel. TI does not have dedicated NiMH charger with power path.
