EV2400: bqstudio recognizes no part

BQStudio (v1.3.54) running in Windows 10 does not recognize my device connected to the EV2400 (firmware 0.18). The EV2400 updater had no apparent problem communicating with the EV2400.

I am using a BQ27441EVM-G1A.

BQStudio brings up the Target Selection Wizard every time.After manually selecting the device, the wizard reports that it's not compatible.

Any suggestions for what I might try from here?
