Hi there

I have looked at the application note SLVA451A and wish to use a similar control mechanism - using a DAC output to control the target voltage.

In the event that the SS pin is driven beyond 1.25V, will the target voltage dictated by the FB pin resistors be exceeded?

Yes, you can do this. Or you can use the DAC directly into the FB pin as shown here: www.ti.com/.../slva251.pdf

As well, the newer TPS62147/8 are smaller, offer a more accurate output voltage and tracking function, and support a forced PWM mode to bring the output voltage down. They are recommended over the TPS62150.

For all devices, driving the SS/TR pin above its highest voltage will not drive the FB pin higher than it's (0.8V) level. There is an internal clamp that prevents this.
