BQ27510: Internal temperature changes drastically when current is draw from battery

Part Number: BQ27510

Hello,

I'm using the internal temp sensor on the BQ27510 in my application instead of using an external thermistor. The issue I'm seeing is that the gauge's internal temp sensor reports about a 10C decrease in temp when I discharge the battery at C/5 (1200mA). The temp sensor reports room temperature as soon as the load is removed. I've calibrated the sensor with no load on the battery and with a load on the battery but it still reports a drastic change. I'm not sure what the cause of this is but I was able to complete a learning cycle with the gauge reporting these drastic changes in temp. I'm hesitant to use the golden image created.

How can I fix the internal temperature sensor?

Thanks,

Rodrigo
