LP38855: Vbias

I am usning LP38855 LDO for 1.2Vout. I am giving a supply of 3.3V at input pin of LP38855. My question is the following:

Could I use the same 3.3 Vin power rail for Vbias. In other words, could I directly connect Vin to Vbias?

    Hi Jesus,

    Yes you can use 3.3 for both Vin and Vbias; however, you will want to consider thermals. Depending on your output current, you could be dissipating a lot of power in the LP38855. Please refer to the Power Dissipation and Heat-sinking section of the datasheet for more information.
