TPS544B25: For TPS544B25, can we set the boot voltage to 0.72V?

Part Number: TPS544B25

For TPS544B25, can we set the boot voltage to 0.72V?

Because datasheet only shows Vboot =0.8V when Rset is 8.66kohm.

Can we set the Vboot is 0.72V and what Rset we should choose?

  • Hello,
Unfortunately you cannot boot the TPS544B25 with Vout = 0.72V using a resistor on VSET.

However, you should be able to use PMBus to reprogram the output to 0.72V by changing the register VOUT_COMMAND, and then run the command STORE_DEFAULT_ALL. This will store your custom output to EEPROM.

Finally when you connect VSET to BP3, on startup the chip will boot up to your saved output of 0.72V.

On the datasheet see sections 8.3.6 and 8.6.5 for more information.
    Regards,
