TPS2HB50-Q1: availability and price

Part Number: TPS2HB50-Q1

I am looking for a high sided switch IC to control the power outputs to 2 independent power channels (loads). One channel needs to limit to 1A and the other 0.5A.

Digging around it looks like the TPS2HB50-Q1 device that you are currently showing in preview may do the job.

The online data is a bit vague at the moment so I wondered if you can fill in some gaps?

  • When is the part due for production release – I want to run the loads at a nominal 24Vdc so does this mean I need the TPS2TB50??

  • Any idea of cost for the version I want - TPS2TB50 is this is the part number for the 24Vdc version ?
  • Can both channels current output limit be individually set (i.e. one at 500mA and the other at 1A)?
  • What is the sense output and how is it multiplexed between channels (i.e. for current measure)?
  • What is the latch pin?

Are there any other devices that I should look at (one with I2C control would be nice)?

  • Hello,

You can submit to be sent the more complete version of the datasheet before the device fully releases.

I am not familiar with the TPS2TB50. If you would like you can email me at c-phillips@ti.com to try and understand more about what you are asking for.

Yes you can individually set current limits. Also the sense output is set by the SELx pins as shown in the table of the datasheet called SNS Mux.

The LATCH pin will enable the device to auto retry after a fault condition or stay latched.

Currently we do not have any device with I2C control.
