LP3944: I2C communication issue

I have got LP3944 evaluation kit but the evaluation software is not compatible with window 7 on words.

i am trying to control it via Arduino Mega but i am not unable to establish comms.

i have set the address pins low logic low(A0,A1 and A2_, so I2C address i am using is 0x60 with last bit read or write but i am not getting the Acknowledge . i did try using different address setting but no success.

any suggestions?

Hi Barbar,

That's too bad about the software. Have you tried running it in a compatibility mode? support.microsoft.com/.../windows-make-older-programs-compatible

Looking at the circuit of the eval board, it looks like there is some interesting separation of input and output as the I2C is wired to the parallel port. Have you connected the MEGA to the SCL and SDA at the LP3944 side of the buffer and level shifter? I would try that and make sure that the lines are pulled up. (The pullups should be present on the EVM.)

If all of that fails, you could try the I2C_Scanner sketch. playground.arduino.cc/.../I2cScanner
