CSD19537Q3: Maximum voltage for VGS

Part Number: CSD19537Q3

Hi,

CSD19537Q3 datasheet explains the Maximum VGS is +/-20V at 25 degreeC. In this time,  I would like to use the FET at 60 degree C (= Ta) with Vg = 16Vdc. This mean is that Delta-Tj = 16 x 1 x 1.5 = 24 degree C. Is it possilbe for the FET to run at 84 degree C ( 60 + 24 degree C) with Vg=16Vdc?

Regards,
Nagata.

  • Hello Nagata San,
Thank you for your question. There is no temperature-related voltage derating required for the max gate-source voltage. You should be fine operating at 60degC ambient with VGS = 16V. However, please keep in mind that the threshold voltage decreases by ~7mV/degC at elevated temperature.
