Hello everyone,
I would like to know the implications of the Current Sense Gain value (2.2 V/V) of the UCC3808A2 (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ucc3808a-2.pdf ) in the control loop. Particullarty, let's consider the following circuit.
After calculating the current primary peak current (which results to be around 50 A according to this guide http://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/an/slua584a/slua584a.pdf), with the 15 mOhm current sense resistor, it would cause 0.75 V at it. That value would be in the the current threshold values which is between 0.7 V and 0.8 V.
So that I can design the controller i have the following questions (they are enumerated so that you answer easily):
1) What does the 2.2 V/V Current sense gain value mean?
2) Would I have at the ifb pin the sensed value multiplied by 2.2?
3) if 2) is affirmative, should I change the value of the current sense resistor (15 mOhm)?
Thanks for reading, and thank you for your help.
Best regards,
David.
