UCC27200: High Side MOS can not turn on

Part Number: UCC27200

Dear Masters,

I am debugging UCC27200-Q1 with my customer and came across a issue, which means that the HO of UCC27200 can not last during the high side PWM on cycle. You can see the waveform below:

The HO can only keep on for about 1ms, does caused by too large PWM cycle? If so, what is the minimum frequency that this device can support?

The schematic is as below (the MOSFET model is STL8N10LF3):

Thank you very much and looking forward to your feedback.

Eric.

  • Hi Eric,

    Sorry you're having difficulty.

Please review this document: www.ti.com/.../slua618a.pdf, specifically section 5.2.2 Bootstrap Gate-Drive Technique.

If you can't resolve it, please send us a scope capture with the following traces labeled on the plot:
HI, HO, and HB-HS (you'll need to make a differential measurement since these aren't ground referenced).

On a second plot, please send LI, LO, HI, and VDD.
