LM3914: lm3914 plcc20 package reflow temps

I have a processing question the datasheet give absolute maximum ratings of their PLCC package

vapor phase soldering of 215c for 60 seconds

infrared for 15 seconds at 220c

we are using convection reflow on a LEAD FREE assembly and need to know what is the max temp for this part package. we are current hand soldering the part which is not cost effective.

Hello Doug,
I am not able to find any specific information about soldering temperature profile of this package but discussing with some colleagues here, consensus seems to be to follow the recommendation of 220c for 15 seconds for convection reflow as well. You may have to tweak it some to be able to get consistently good assembly outcome.
