LM5000: Isolated Configuration with Opt-Isolator?

Hello All,

My customer is using the LM5000 in non-isolated flyback configuration, it would be possible to use in isolated configuration with opto-isolator feedback (for example, as the LM5015 which is done for forward), is there a reference design for that?

If it were not possible, would you be able to show me a component with an integrated switch of at least 75V where the above can be done?

Hi Antonio,

Why customer still wants to use opto-isolater feedback even this is a non-isolated flyback converter?
You could refer to page 15 of LM5001 datasheet, where you can find a similar application.

Hello Liu,

Thanks for reply.

LM5001 has the problem that it goes from a current limiting of 2A (LM5000) to 1A.

And customer needs more than 1A.

Any other advice?
