Dear,
our client use LMR16006Y-Q1 and TLV733P, now we have question is input current to TLV733P, we setting 600mA, have any concern?

    Hi Lawrence,

    The current flowing into an LDO will be equal to the LDO's Ignd and Iout; therefore, during normal operation the LMR16006Y-Q1 will only be sourcing the TLV733P's Ignd current and the 250 mA and 50 mA loads (~300 mA total).

    It is common to set the upstream supply's current limit higher than the expected output current of an LDO. This additional current helps during transient conditions and startup to provide the additional current (inrush current) to charge the output capacitor(s).
