BQ29312: Input Current VC-Inputs

Hello,

we use the BQ29312 for our batteries. What is the typical and maximum input current for the VCx Inputs.(VC1, VC2,VC3,VC4,VC5)?. At one input i measured >1mA with 4.2V and i think the IC on our board is damaged. I didn't find the input current in your datasheet.

    Hi Christian,
    The bq29312 is an older design without an input current specification as you have noticed. I don't have a working example with me but expect a practical limit (average) to be about 1 uA and a typical of 0.1 uA. The part is sampled so you should expect to see peaks. 1mA is very large and likely indicates a damaged device as you expect unless it is balancing. If balancing the current into one pin should exit from the corresponding pin for that cell. Abs max cell balancing current is 10 mA.
