LM1117: Low Temprature charactrristics

Part Number: LM1117

Hi...

I'd like to know the difference of LM1117 and LM1117I.

I had some operation test at the -30 degree C.

There was a little difference of output voltage deviation and change like as the datasheet.

If there are no problems in our power circuits, can i use  the LM1117 at the -30 degree C instead of LM1117I .

Also I'd like to know the difference of making process at the factory.

For example, durability, duty cycle, output votage deviation, output voltage change.etc.

Thanks...

bst rgds…

  • Hi Keeryong,

The LM1117 and LM1117I differ in test and characterization.  It is important to note that the LM1117 is not tested or characterized for temperatures below 0 C.  If you choose to go outside of the rated operating condition, you may find performance outside of what is represented in the datasheet.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
