TPS61195: TPS61195 can not to communicate through I2C?

Part Number: TPS61195

We have some questions on using the LED backlight driver chip TPS61195, hoping to be solved: there are five kinds of backlight regulation control modes on the specification (as shown below).

When the hardware is set to the first mode, the I2C voltage signals measured in SDA and SCL pin are normal,

but we found that the normal communication with TPS61195 can not be achieved through I2C (read and write). Do you have any suggestions?

HI Jerry

Have you refer to the datasheet for the communication guide? Or you can apply our EVM to verify the communication, I don't have much ideal about your problem.

Hi Sean,

Pin25 gives a high level. And the chip can work normally when Pin1 pin gives PWM signal, but there is intermittent flashscreen phenomenon.

So I would like to switch to SMBus control mode, but after SEL1 & SEL2 is set to SMBus mode, I2C can not communicate normally.

Hi Jerry,
I don't have many suggestion for you, do you have the TPS61195 EVM? Or can you apply one, I have checked with our EVM , it works normally.
