TPS650250: Simulation model

Part Number: TPS650250
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Hi team,

Can TI provide any simulation model for TPS650250? The customer wants to simulate enabling, reset input/output, power good function, something like that.

Best regards,

Takeshi Sasaki

  • Sasaki-san,

No, at this time no models exist for simulating the TPS650250 PMIC device. Models would be in the Tools & Software section of the Product Folder (www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware) in the Models section, but this section is empty for this device. It is not common for PMICs to have simulation models.

What specific type of model do you need? In other words, what software environment will you be using to run your simulations?
SPICE has many variations and you would need to specify which type of SPICE you would be using (HSPICE, PSPICE, TINA-TI, or other).
IBIS models are more for data (signal chain) devices and are not common for power products.
A few examples of less common model types are ADS, AMI, PSIM, and SIMPLIS.

Either way, creating part models can take a significant amount of time before they are completed.

Do you have some specific questions about enabling, reset input/output, or power good function that I can answer to help your customer?
  • Hi Brian,

Thank you for your comments. If I will have any additional questions from the customer, I'll reach out to you. Thanks!
