Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ20Z655-R1, , BQ40Z50-R2
Hi,
I'm currently designing a smart battery management system for a 9Ah battery pack containing 3 li-ion cells connected in series. I'm using LCD for this design. The BQ20z655-R1 and BQ34z653 ICs meets most of the design requirements. Can I ask which one is better?
1) I have checked datasheets of BQ34z653 and BQ20z655-R1 . But I couldn't see a lot of difference. Could you please provide me differences between BQ34z653 and BQ20z655-R1 ? Note that I don't need heater control.
2) By the way, I know TI experts generally recommend a newer gauge like bq40z50-R2 BUT I need LCD for my design that's why I can not use bq40z50-R2. There isn't "LCD external capacity indication" on bq40z50-R2. Does the bq40z50-R2 in any way support LCD?
