TPS659038-Q1: alternative to IRPS5401

Hi,

I would like to find a alternative to IRPS5401 , I use two IRPS5401s in my current design to power Xilinx FPGA :XAZU4E.

12V input and AEC-Q100 Qualified With Temperature Grade 2: –40°C to +105°C is prefered.

any recommendation?

another Question is: what is the OTP default voltage output of TPS659038-Q1? is it possible to program the OTP by customer through I2C ?

    TPS659038-Q1 does not have a Xilinx solution. This device is programmed by OTP in the factory and the power sequence cannot be changed afterwards.

    For automotive Xilinx solutions, I recommend starting with this reference guide: www.ti.com/.../tidudn1b.pdf
    This design uses a 5V input voltage, so you would need an additional pre-regulator from 12V to 5V.

    any recommended  pre-regulator for conversion from 12V to 5V ? 

  • Is this connecting directly to the car battery? If so, you may need a buck-boost to support cranking conditions. If not, a simple buck is sufficient. I suggested using our search tool on ti.com for this part.

    If you need further assistance on a recommended pre-regulator, I would need to know the maximum current needed, as well as the voltage range.
