BQ25600D: Charging is not terminated at Cool and Warm condition

Hi,

Now the customer is evaluating bq25600D and they commented that the charging is not terminated at cool temperature (T1-T2) and warm temperature (T3-T5). Do you think this is correct operation per specifications?

As I know, termination is disable during cool and warm temperature.

Hi Paul,

The customer commented that the cool and warm temperature is out of normal temperature, so the charging should be terminated during cool and warm temperature. Could you give your opinion about this? I'd like to know the back ground you decided this design concept.

One of the reason the termination is disabled during cool is that, during cool charge, charge current is reduced to 20% or 50% of fast charge current. The reduced charge current may be lower than the set termination current and cause charge terminated by fault.

Please let me double check about the termination during cool and warm condition.

Disabling termination during cool and warm condition is intentional specification of bq25600D. Is it correct?
Do you have any option (register) to enable termination during cool and warm?

Now the customer has considered bq25600D but they comment that they can't decide to adopt bq25600D in their system if termination is disabled during cool and warm condition.
