TL7700: Design question (Vs, Ict, /RESET)

Part Number: TL7700
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3840, TPS3890

Hi,

We got a question from the customer about TL7700.
Could you help us?

[Question]
- How much is the variation of Vs at Vcc=1.8V, Ta=-40 to 85C?

- How much is the variation of Ict at Ta=-40 to 85C?

- How much is the sink current of /Reset pin at Vcc<1.5V, Ta=-40 to 85C? They are concerned the /RESET voltage which generated by pull-up resister and sink current. If there is the characteristic data of threshold operating voltage such as RNA51957B, could you provide us the data?

Regarding the above questions, they don't need guarantee. They will use it as reference.

Best Regards,
tateo

  • Hi Tateo,

Unfortunately this is an older device so that available data is limited.

We don't have data at the specific operating conditions you mention. For Vs, we spec the variation across all operating conditions over temperature as 490mV to 510mV. For I_CT, we only spec at 25C as 11uA to 19uA. For the output /RESET voltage, we provide VOL as 0.8V for sink current of 3mA and VOL of 0.4V for sink current of 1.5mA. Sink current is calculated by Vpull-up / Rpull-up.

If there isn't a specific reason you are using this device, we recommend a newer device that is better performance and better characterized. Please provide more information regarding the application and we can recommend other newer devices that may be better options. Specifically TPS3890 or TPS3840 might be good replacement options.
