BQ24298: Q4 question

Hello.

Can you please let me know. If BQ24298 plug in USB then USB provide power. In disable charging Q4 is off or not? Q4 is only turned on when Charging? Thanks for kindly help~

    Hey AJ,

    Q4 is turned off when charge is disabled but this does not mean the charger will not supplement in the event the input is overloaded. In other words, current can still flow in the reverse direction to VSYS. If the charger goes deeper into supplement, Q4 will turn fully on to provide supplemental current to VSYS.

    In battery only mode, Q4 is also on.
