    The UCC27211 and UCC27211A 4A, 120V half-bridge drivers are high performance drivers which have virtually the same specifications in the parameter table.


    There are some differences however which I will outline below.


    The UCC27211 is available in 4 packages which include the SOIC-8, Power Pad SOIC-8, SON-8, and SON-10. The UCC27211A is available in the SOIC-8 and SON-8 packages.


    The UCC27211 includes in the device family the UCC27210. The UCC27211 has TTL compatible inputs to the drivers with input rising thresholds of 2.3V nominal and falling thresholds of 1.6V nominal. The UCC27210 has pseudo-CMOS compatible driver inputs with input rising thresholds of 5.0V nominal and falling thresholds of 3.2V nominal which provides higher hysteresis.


    The UCC27211A also has an improvement to the noise immunity on VDD compared to the UCC27211. With a proper sized VDD capacitor and good layout the UCC27211 will perform as expected in the application. The UCC27211A was improved however in the case of excessive noise on the VDD to VSS pins.
