I'm looking at using the TPS62740 for a system which has very low loads in sleep: about 1-2uA. Loads in normal operation are about 4mA.
I'm trying to predict the total losses in the low load mode. By total losses, I mean Loss = (Vin * Iin) - (Vout - Iout)
I can't tell if I should include Iq in the calculations, or just the efficiency in the various graphs. For example, with Vin = 3.6V, Vout = 1.8V, Iout = 3uA, I see the efficiency (from figure 9 of the TPS62740 spec) to be about 68%. So is the total input current ((1.8V * 3uA) / 0.68) / 3.6V = 2.2uA, or do I then also need to add in an Iq?
Thanks!
