Part Number: BQ27441EVM-G1A

Power source is a battery.

When the first reading operation of battery by I2C after the battery is attached, fuel gauge can be read as 0%. After that, 98% measurement can be read as correct data with second reading trial.

Question:
Is there interval time untile the battery information can be read correctly after moving to operating condition from battery source.

You need to poll the initcomp register and when it ges set indicates that you can now read correct values from the gauge.

Could it be possible to detect end of initialization by monitoring GPOUT, same as polling initcomp register?

I referred Table 2-1 from SLUUAC9A.

At the bottom of table, it describes pulse with when Initialization Complete.

Could not it mean that GPOUT issues 1ms pulse after initialization complete?

Hi

Yes you are right, you can configure the gpout pin for SOC_INT function and monitore the pin. I initially missed that when i was looking at the TRM.
