UCC3808-1: Increasing the fixed soft start time of the UCC3808

Hello everyone,

Could anyone tell me how can I increase the soft start time of the UCC3808? I have read in some posts that I have to place a capacitor on the COMP pin, but I do not know where should it be tied to (VDD? GND?), or whether or not I should include any other components.

Hi David,

You can use a circuit such as this:

The UCC3808 does not have a VREF pin so you need to generate an external voltage reference for this circuit.

Thank you for your answer.

Do you think it is necessary to parallel Css with a resistor to make a voltage devider with Rss so that the base voltage can be the value of Vref?

There is no need to place a resistor in parallel with Css
