UCD9224: Future version of the UCD9224

Part Number: UCD9224
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138, , TPS53681, TPS53647

I noticed that the UCD9224 was not recommended for new designs. I was wondering if there is a future version of the UCD9224? Also, does the UCD9224 have the ability to implement arbitrary control schemes with multiple feedback loops like the UCD3138? I have a specific use for this feature that I can't elaborate very much on. Also, is the UCD digital controller family of parts compatible with the CSD95490?

Regards,

David

  • Hi David,
For multi-phase applications something like the TPS53647 or TPS53681 is recommended for future designs, and are compatible with our latest powerstages.
The TPS53681 allows one to change compensation through i2c.
Here is a resource for more information on designing with our more recent multiphase controllers:

    All the best,
    Xavier
