Do we have a device like MAX14913 Octal High-Speed, High-Side Switch/Push-Pull Driver.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIC12400, TPL7407LA, TPIC44H01

Hi team,

Do we have a device like MAX14913? It is Octal High-Speed, High-Side Switch/Push-Pull Driver.

Thanks!

  • Eggsy,

The MAX14913 is a push/pull driver capable of driving >0.5 A.  The switches and multiplexers are almost all passive devices without drive capability and low power supporting <0.5 A.

What are you using this device for in your system?  I may have a low power version of this device TIC12400 depending on what you are trying to do with it.

I typed this device into the competitor cross reference tool and it took me to peripheral drivers so I will move this thread to that forum.

    Thank you,

    Adam

  • Hi Eggsy,

From a peripheral driver / low side switch perspective, the closest equivalent that we have is the ULN2803A or the TPL7407LA. However, these devices don't have a serial interface or advanced monitoring/protection features.

For features as such, I recommend looking at the TPIC gate drivers. Let me know if those are more suitable for this application and I can reassign this post into that group.

    Thanks,
    Arthur Huang
  • Hi Arthur,

May I know which TPIC part number is suitable?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Eggsy,

We have a low speed 4mA drive 4 channel highside gate driver, TPIC44h01, which can drive the inputs in parallel or serial with SPI.
Each channel is equipped with protection features.
This device is low speed and used for always ON/OFF 100% or very long duty cycles since only has 4mA drive current delivered by a charge pump. Will this work for your application? what FET are you switching? at what frequency?

    thanks,
