CSD18533Q5A: Information regarding Output curve and Threshold Voltage Details

Part Number: CSD18533Q5A

The VDS vs ID graph does not include the saturation region of the curve thus the characteristics of the MOSFET is unclear. Please provide the extended graph for VDS vs ID curve if possible.

Also the VGS Threshold is specified to be less than 2.3V while the VGS vs ID Transfer curve depicts it to be around 2.7V. So can you provide correct range of Vgs Threshold?

  • Hi Anshul,
Thanks for the questions. I am checking into this. Can you tell me more about the application and the portion of the saturation curve you're most interested in seeing (VGS, VDS, ID)? Are you planning to operate the device in the saturation region? The threshold voltage VGS(TH) is specified at ID = 250uA in the datasheet as follows: 1.5V(min), 1.9V(typ) and 2.3V(max). Unfortunately, the transfer curve does not go down to that low current. Any additional information you can share would be helpful.
  • Hi Anshul,
I looked at some earlier data for threshold and for this particular lot of parts, the average was around 2.1V. Of course, there will be lot-to-lot variations and that's the reason we publish min/max limits in the datasheet as well as typical. As a reminder, threshold is specified at 250uA ID & 25degC in the datasheet. Please let me know more about your application if you can.
