TPS7A16-Q1: PG pin's maximum current

Part Number: TPS7A16-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7A16, TPS7A16A-Q1

Hi team,

My customer wants to know what the maximum current is for TPS7A16's PG pin. I can't find it in datasheet. Could you kindly help share the information?

Best Regards

 Michael

  • Hi Michael,

Please use the newer generation pin-to-pin TPS7A16A-Q1.  There are two currents associated with a PG pin for an LDO.

I believe you are asking about the amount of current that the PG pin can sink so that you can size your pullup resistor appropriately.  This current should be limited to a maximum of 100 uA.

The other current is the leakage current which is a maximum of 1 uA.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
