UCD9222: UCD9222 For Isolated Power Supply Control

Part Number: UCD9222

Dear TI Experts,

I am planning to select UCD9222 For Power Supply Control. But, in datasheet it is mentioned that it is made for Synchronous Buck Converter. What does it make it just limited to Synchronous Buck Converter? If we put controller on one ground give pulses through isolation, then will it work?

Thanks & Regards

  • Saunak,

Have you looked into the UCD31K series of digital controllers, they have features specific for the off-line/isolated product space.

While it may be possible to use the UCD9222, that is not the intended market for this device, the FW code was written for the non-isolated product space.
