UCC27200: IR2110 driver circuit works abnormally

Part Number: UCC27200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27714, UCC27712

Seniors:
I used the IR2110 driver to build a half-bridge arm drive circuit, as shown below:

The circuit is analogous to the recommended circuit of the manual.

The LIN and HIN pins have a PWM of amplitude 5V and duty cycle of 0.3. The 10V supply of VDD and VCC is stable, but LO and HO do not wave, LO is 0V, HO is 10V. .
Why is this?

  • Hello,

Thank you for the interest in the UCC27200 half bridge driver. Are your questions concerns relating to the operation of the IR2110 or the UCC27200?

If you have questions or concerns about the IR2110 I cannot provide advice since this is not a TI part. You need to consult Infineon applications support for assistance with this device. If there are any questions about the UCC27200 operation I can help with any concerns on this part.

Please confirm if this answers your questions, or you can ask for additional information on this thread.

    Regards,

    Richard Herring

  • Hello,
Although I cannot support issues with the IR2110, TI does have 600V half bridge drivers which you can consider in your application. The UCC27712 is a 1.8A/2.8A 620V half bridge driver which is close to the drive strength of the IR2110. The UCC27714 is a half bridge driver in the SOIC14 which has a higher drive current of 4A/4A.
