Team,

My customer has the following question.

Is there a way to turn off the power switching in TPS2543 but still allow data. I’d like to turn off the charging portion when board temperature hits some threshold to cool down the board but still allows data communication.

Hi Aaron,
TPS2543 can't achieve your application. but for your purpose, you can change TPS2543 to SDP mode, this may reduce the current drawn by the device, so as to relieve the temperature pressure of the board. or you can recommend the customer to use TPS2549, its client mode meets all your requirements.
