TPS25910: E-fuse solution suggestion

Part Number: TPS25910
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25940-Q1, TPS2595, TPS24750, TPS25982

Dear Sir/Ms.

The customer's purchaser request RD is looking for 2nd source to SY6875A.
Before we have recommended TPS25910 and TS25940-Q1 but the specifications are a little worse. Is there a better choice than TPS25910 and TPS25940-Q1?

Customer specifications are as follows

END Product is SSD.
1. Max. Vin > 20V
1, Current limit should be at least 3A or more (to be adjustable)
2, support 5V and 3.3V input at the same time

4, there is discharge (currently SY6875A also has no discharge function)
5, has clamping function
6, support -40~85 degrees
7, adjustable SS time (not necessary, better)
8, there is PG pin (not necessary, there is better)

Would you please give us some advice?

Best Regards,

Kami Huang

  • Hi Kami Huang,

Ideally I would like to suggest TPS2595xx family of devices. they support 5A for Tj < 105C. They also have OV clamping feature. But, the Vin abs max for this family of devices is 20V. If customer is using TVS at the input, it will act for transient Overvoltages and TPS2595 will acts for steady Overvoltages.
If customer definitely wants Vin(absmax) > 20V and price is not a concern, then you can consider TPS25982 and TPS24750 family of devices. These devices actually support higher currents >10A and have OVLO feature.
