Regarding the bQ24161 module, it still does not meet the specifications in the use process.

1. If the battery is not connected, visit I2c and still give the information of the battery connection.

2. When the battery is charged to 4.2V, the multimeter detects the non-charging current, and I2C still sends out information about the charging process (IN or USB charging).

3, 9V still can't charge!

    Regarding 1, in order for battery detection circuit to function, the following must be true:
    a. termination must be enabled (REG02b2=1)
    b. charge must be enabled (REG02b1=1)
    c. battery must be removed such that TS pin voltage doesn't create a fault for 250ms after battery removal OR TS pin is disabled (REG07b3=0)

    Regarding 2, a series multimeter between BAT pin and battery is not recommended as it is too resistive and, if set for autoranging, can cause the charger to not function correctly. Also, this charger will not terminate unless the charge current is below ITERM for 32ms with supplement mode glitches due to transients. In addition, this part has a reverse battery prevention circuit (d/s section 9.3.16.5) that prevents boost back. If this circuit is enabled, the device will not terminate charge at V(BAT) = VBATREG until the battery relaxes. Setting the termination current to at least 150 mA reduces the delay in termination.

    Regarding 3, the OVP circuit on the USB input is 6.5V and so the charger will not charge above 6.5V. On the IN input, the OVP is 10.5V and the charger should charge at V(IN)=9V. With V(IN) =9V, can you respond with an I2C register dump in addition to an oscilloscope plot showing IN, SW, BAT?

    Hello again,

    The register settings look okay. As a reminder, if you are not resetting the watchdog timer periodically, the settings will return to defaults, including BATREG=3.6V. Have you taken any oscilloscopes plots of IN or USB, SW, and BAT?
