BQ24250: IS VBAT_UVLO programmable ?

Part Number: BQ24250

For IC BQ24250, does VBAT_UVLO is programmable (refer page 11 of datasheet)? It seems that this value is fixed and value is around 2.5V. This can cause issue with battery cutoff voltage as it is not recommended to discharge battery till 2.5V.

Hello,

This is not a programmable threshold. Actually, most Li-ion vendors have this listed as the minimum battery discharge voltage.

However, most customers using this device will have a separate protection circuitry on their battery pack to prevent the cell voltage from dropping below something like 3.0V or 2.8V. The charger in this case, acts as a secondary protection to the primary cell protection devices.
