UCC28180: Design calculator for type-2/3 current compensation

Hi team,

There is a requirement to "UCC28180 Design Calculator(xls sheet) "on the ucc28180 web.
The design calculator has been prepared for a configuration with current loop compensation of type-1.

My customer requests us the design calculator sheet for type-2 (or -3) current loop compensation(They are examining the application with type-2 or 3 current loop compensation).
Is there the design alculator for type-2(or-3)? If not , could you prepare it?

In the UCC28180EVM-573 manual's BOM list, although not actually installed, there are two components (R1 and C6) with the value(100ohms & 0.1uF) for type 2 current correction.

Hello H. Someno,
The UCC28180 cannot be used in a type 2 or 3 feedback compensation type of loop compensation.
This is also not a type 1 compensation method since the ICOMP capacitor is to GND.
You need to use the Excel calculator tool or the data sheet exactly as instructed in order to get the best results from the device.
R1 and C6 are not used on the EVM and will be removed from the pcb when the EVM is revised at a later stage.

Please tell me the reason why type-2 or -3 can 't be used for current loop compensation.
Are there any special concerns in case that is used?

Hello H.Someno,
Yes there is a very special reason.
The architecture of the topology requires that the part be used as described in the data sheet.
It will not work properly if you attempt to use in any other way, shape or form.
