BQ2057W: BQ2057W

Part Number: BQ2057W

Hello,

I´m going to use the bq2057W to charge a two-cell lithium-ion battery. This are the battery:

I have an input voltage of 9V with a current of 1A. I have calculated the values for the transistor, but the theta that I obtain is very difficult to find in the market. Do you recommended me some transistor pnp o mosfet- p?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

  • Hello
A p-type mosfet would be a good choice. Several types will work.
Recommend looking for a device with a good heat sink such as SOT223 or better. Also VGS breakdown voltage in the 10V or better range.
Power dissipation with this design will be high if you are changing at 1A.

We also have a number of switching chargers that support two cell such as BQ241XX. Lower external parts count and higher efficiency.
