TPS2543: Start-up

Part Number: TPS2543

Hi Team,

My customer have a plan to connect Host to EN, CTL1-3 and ILIM_SEL pins of TPS2543 directly.

During start-up of system, Host's output may unstable less than 3.3V(=Vcc of host).

In this case, is there any concern of TPS2543? Do they need to add pull-up/down resistors?

Regards,

Kotaro Yamashita

  • Hello Kotaro,

I believe you will be fine. If you look in the datasheet, the actual value that distinguishes between a logic high or low is 1.8V instead of the 3.3V. If you  believe these pins will drop below this threshold, than you at want to add a pull up resistor. If the voltage level will stay above 1.8V, than you should be fine.
