UCC25702: Figure-5 on datasheet

Part Number: UCC25702

Hi application team,

There is the characteristics graph of Figure-5 on UCC25702 datasheet_Page-8.  It is showing the characteristics of "Normarized Duty Cycle vs Temperature" under  VFF=0.8V & 3.2V.

Could you support the questions from my customer related to that graph?
Q:  What was the maximum duty set for this measurement?
And How was the max duty set?  (Is it by using VS CLAMP pin?)

I know this part is an old device. If you have any information, please advise.

Best regards,

H. Somenbo

  • Hi Application team,

I received additional question from my customer, so I will organize them with the previous my question.
Please answer the following two questions.

Q1: There is the characteristics graph of Figure-5 on UCC25702 datasheet_Page-8. It is showing the characteristics of "Normalized Duty Cycle vs Temperature" under VFF=0.8V & 3.2V.
    - What was the maximum duty set for this measurement?
    - And, How was the maximum duty cycle at this graph set? (Is it by using VSCLAMP pin?)

Q2: There are the following parameters which specify maximum duty cycle with VSCLAMP=0.6V on the datasheet. Are they specified under conditions that include the operating temperature range(-40C to 85C) of UCC25702?

    Volt Second Clamp Section
    Maximum Duty Cycle(VFF = 0.8V, VSCLAMP = 0.6V) : MIN=69%, TYP=74%, MAX=79 %
    Minimum Duty Cycle(VFF = 3.2V, VSCLAMP = 0.6V) : MIN=17%, TYP=19%, MAX= 21%

    Regards,
    H.Someno

  • Hi Hedekazu,

To answer your question, I need to contact with other resource of TI, please give me a couple of days.

    Regards,
    Teng
  • Hi Teng-san,

    Thanks for your support.

Yes. We can wait for your confirmation.

  • Hi H.Someno-san,

    Q1: Figure-5 on UCC25702 datasheet_Page-8: characteristics of "Normalized Duty Cycle vs Temperature" under VFF=0.8V & 3.2V.
    - What was the maximum duty set for this measurement?
A1: The set maximum duty cycle in Figure 5 is the typical maximum duty cycle.
    - And, How was the maximum duty cycle at this graph set? (Is it by using VSCLAMP pin?)
A2: Yes, the maximum duty cycle is decided by both the VSCLAMP Pin and RT Pin.

A: Yes, unless otherwise stated, the electrical specifications apply for recommended operating temperature range TA :-40C to 85C.

    Regards,
    Teng
