Hi Ti team,

We test LM4040BIM3-2.5 Output Voltage Tolerance outside 0.2% in Ta=20°C to 23°C, test output Vref is 2.51V or 2.513V

SCH as below,

Could you pls help us check that does IC failed or below SCH design probem or test method problem? thanks!

How are you making this measurement? What is the resolution of the test equipment that this measurement is being taken on?

Hi Marshall，

Test Picture as below. So,Could you pls help us check that LM4040BIM3-2.5 Ir in 60uA to 15mA,Ta=25 can meet 0.2% Max? or only in Ir=100uA Ta=25 can meet 0.2%.

End-customer find this problem in product, then do A-B-A test,the problem follow IC.thanks!

Hi Jimmy,

We can only guarantee the device output tolerance for the test conditions specified in the datasheet, as that was how the part was validated over a large sample size.

If you would like to do self-validation, could you replicate the test conditions in the datasheet for the specification you are trying to verify? If you are not matching what the datasheet shows, I will work with you to figure out why.
