Hi Andrey,

There are a few small differences between the LM3478 and the LM3488

1. The clock of the LM3488 can be externally synchronized while the LM3478 cannot be externally synchronized.
2. The voltage reference tolerance of the LM3488 is tighter than that of the LM3478
3. The shutdown current and operating current of the LM3488 is lower

For your application I suggest taking a look at the LM5155, which is a newer version of the LM3478 and LM3488. WEBENCH is available for this device and can be used to make the design.
