TLC5923: can I parallel all the 16 channels to get 1.2A output current

Dear LED driver expert,

My customer wants to get a 1.2A output current with our TLC5923 16 channels parallel. The voltage for LED is around 7.5V. If the answer is yes, they want to how can we protect system if the LED is open. Should we use XERR signal to turn off TLC5923? Thanks.

Hi Binbin,
I do not suggest to use this device like this. too many channels paralleled will bring the risk of resonance oscillation at the output.
