TPS61236P: increase more Efficiency of TPS61236P

Dear Sir,

My system is very important efficiency of boost converter for TPS61236P.

Inductor is 0518CDMCC of SUMIDA.

=======================================

Setting value :Vin: 3.7V , Vout: 5V , Iout: Max 2.5A

=======================================

Actual test value is as below

Vin: 3.7V

input current: 3.9A

Vout: 4.69V

output current: 2.01A

Efficiency: 83.8%

=======================================

Could you advise me method that can increase more efficiency of TPS61236P.

Hi Dexter,
I believe the measurement is not correct, or there is issue in the design. the output voltage should be 5V instead of the 4.69V from the schematic. make sure the circuit is solder well and please apply an EVM for reference.

Dear Jasper,

I had the measurement in TPS61236EVM. I set 5V of Vout. it seems to drop Vout to 4.69V.

could you help advise me anything.

Hi Dexter,
could you measure the waveform of the input and output when the VOUT is drop to 4.69V? connect the probe to the sense connector of the EVM, J2 and J7.
